From September 29 to October 10, 2025, the Reading Room of the Library and Information Center is hosting library and bibliographic sessions for first-year undergraduate students of the educational programs in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Pediatrics, Public Health, Nursing, and Medical and Preventive Care.

Purpose of the sessions “Fundamentals of Information and Bibliographic Literacy”:

  • Development of communication skills: mastering methods of independent information search according to educational needs; the ability to correctly formulate information requests; the ability to conduct effective information searches, process and use the obtained information in accordance with educational and research tasks; the ability to work with the library’s electronic resources.
  • Use of information technologies (based on examples of the electronic catalog, Internet resources, full-text databases, etc.) in educational activities.
  • Assistance in acquiring information retrieval skills necessary for writing term papers, theses, and other research works.
