The Library and Information Center conducted lecture and practical sessions for the assistants of the Department of Pediatrics-1 and 7th-year interns within the discipline “Pediatrics” on the topic “Searching for Information in Electronic Databases.” During the sessions, learners were provided with comprehensive and detailed information on the possibilities of using modern electronic resources and databases in educational and scientific activities.

The 7th-year interns became familiar with the principles of searching for and selecting scientific information in electronic databases, as well as with the rules for working with electronic textbooks, scientific journals, and articles. Special attention was paid to the skills of effective information searching, analyzing the reliability of sources, and using current scientific publications in the field of pediatrics.

During the practical part of the class, the students independently searched for the necessary information and worked with electronic educational platforms and scientific resources, which contributed to the development of their information literacy and research skills. The knowledge and skills acquired enabled the interns to gain a comprehensive understanding of the capabilities of electronic databases, which will be further used in subsequent classes, in the preparation of clinical case analyses, and in scientific research activities.
